Dane Strother
Dane Strother is an American Democratic political consultant, media commentator, and former reporter. He was part of the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune staff that won a Pulitzer Prize in 1988. Strother has helped elect officials in several states and countries and has served as the media strategist for U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Senator Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, Governor Roy Barnes of Georgia, and Congressman Lloyd Doggett. He led media efforts for Rock the Vote, described by the Washington Post as “bold.” He serves on the board of visitors for LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communications. While at LSU, he was editor of The Daily Reveille and won a First Amendment rights lawsuit against the university. His father, Raymond Strother, is considered a pioneer in political consulting. Dane Strother lives in Washington, D.C., with ties to Sacramento, California, and Montana. He studied at Louisiana State University and is affiliated with the Democratic Party.
