Telenuovo
Telenuovo is a regional Italian TV channel from Veneto, owned by Luigi Vinco. It broadcasts light entertainment, including movies, news and weather bulletins, documentaries and sports. It airs on channel 11 in Veneto and channel 14 in Trentino-Alto Adige, and uses a 16:9 standard definition picture format.
Telenuovo started on November 12, 1979, at 17:30. The first program was the anime Lupin III. For years it was part of the Rete Italia network, showing a mix of movies, TV programs, cartoons and self-produced sports shows. In 1981 it expanded to cover all of Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige, and opened its news department in 1984, making news a core part of the station with local debates and bulletins.
In 1985 Telenuovo created Match Music, a disco-focused column that later became its own independent station until 2018. The first news bulletin from its Padova headquarters aired in 1994. The web portal launched in 2007. Telenuovo is available via digital terrestrial networks (Telenuovo Retenord) and through Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV (Telenuovo Play).
