Electoral history of Jerry Nadler
Jerry Nadler is a lawyer and politician who has represented New York in the U.S. House of Representatives since 1992. Since 2023 he has represented New York's 12th congressional district. Before joining Congress, he served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. In the 1980s, he ran unsuccessfully for Manhattan Borough President and for New York City Comptroller—the only elections he has ever lost. He has spent most of his life in New York City, and has represented the city in both the State Assembly and the U.S. House. He is the dean of New York's congressional delegation in the House.
