Sutlepa is a small village in western Estonia, in Lääne-Nigula Parish, Lääne County. In Swedish it is called Sutlep or Sutlop. The name comes from Estonian words meaning either “Wolves’ End” or “Wolves’ Alder.”

A wooden chapel from the 17th century once stood in Sutlepa, but it was moved to the Estonian Open Air Museum in Tallinn in 1970.

To the southwest of the village lies Sutlepa Meri, a former sea that became a reedbed. It has a nature trail with two observation towers and is a popular spot for birdwatchers. “Meri” means “sea.”
