Supernature (Cerrone III)
Supernature (Cerrone III) is the third studio album by French producer Cerrone, released in September 1977 on Malligator Records in France. It was recorded June–August 1977 at Trident Studios in London and produced by Cerrone. The album blends electronic and disco and runs about 33 minutes in the digital edition (vinyl and CD lengths vary). It is also known as Cerrone III, since Cerrone labeled his albums with numbers. The release followed Cerrone’s Paradise (Cerrone II) and came before Cerrone IV: The Golden Touch.
Singles from the album include “Supernature” and “Give Me Love,” both issued in 1977. The title track “Supernature” remains one of Cerrone’s best-known songs and was remixed in 1996 by Danny Tenaglia in a deep progressive Twilo style. The track “Love Is the Answer” was re-edited by Liquid People and released as part of the Africanism All Stars project on Yellow Productions.
In the inner sleeve, thanks are given to Don Ray, Alain Wisniak, and singer Lene Lovich.
