Leinster Senior Football Championship

The Leinster Senior Football Championship (Leinster SFC) is the main Gaelic football competition for the counties of Leinster. It is run every year by the Leinster Council of the GAA and has been played since 1888.

Format and prizes
- It is a straight knockout tournament played in spring (April–May).
- The winner receives the Delaney Cup and advances to the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-finals.
- In 2026, 11 counties compete.
- The draw is seeded, with some teams getting byes to later rounds.

Recent history and records
- Dublin is the most successful county in the competition, with 63 Leinster titles.
- Kilkenny used to win titles but no longer competes. Wicklow has never won the championship.
- The 2025 champions were Louth, who beat Meath in the final (3-14 to 1-18).

The trophy
- The current cup was first awarded after the 1953 final and was renamed the Delaney Cup about 50 years later in 2003, in honor of the Delaney family.
