Super-Sleuth is a 1937 American mystery comedy directed by Ben Stoloff. It stars Jack Oakie in an early lead role, along with Ann Sothern and Eduardo Ciannelli. The film was later remade in 1946 as Genius at Work.

Plot: Bill Martin, a boastful film detective, believes he can solve a real case. His swagger annoys real Los Angeles detectives and studio publicist Mary Strand, who does like him but dislikes his arrogance. A killer calling himself the Poison Pen decides to murder Bill over his last movie. Bill and Mary seek help from amateur sleuth Professor Herman, not realizing that Herman is the killer. In a twist, co-star Ralph Waring is killed, and stand-in Larry Frank is suspected. To save Bill, Mary has him locked up, but Herman bails him out. Mary and the police arrive just in time to stop the danger.
