Achieva Credit Union
Achieva Credit Union is a state-chartered financial cooperative based in Dunedin, Florida. Regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), it began in 1937 as a teachers’ credit union in Pinellas County. Today, Achieva has more than $2 billion in assets and serves over 160,000 members across 15 counties on Florida’s West and Southwest coasts.
In 2009, Sarasota Coastal Credit Union merged with Achieva, expanding its service area from Hernando to Charlotte counties. Membership is open to people who live or work in eligible Florida counties, or who are related to a current member.
Achieva operates 26 branches and is guided by a volunteer nine-member Board of Directors elected by members. It offers savings, checking, IRAs, and certificates of deposit, along with consumer loans, mortgages, home equity loans/HELOCs, credit cards, and investment services. The credit union is a member of the Florida Credit Union League and the Credit Union National Association, and its CEO/President is Gary Regoli.
