Suffocating Under Words of Sorrow (What Can I Do)
Suffocating Under Words of Sorrow (What Can I Do) is Bullet for My Valentine’s second single from their debut album, The Poison. It was released in the UK on 19 September 2005 and in the US on 20 December 2005. The song is about 3 minutes and 39 seconds long and is a metalcore track produced by Colin Richardson. It was written by Matthew Tuck, Michael Paget, Michael Thomas and Jason James.
The single reached number 37 on the UK Singles Chart and number 2 on the UK Rock Chart. It was released in three formats—one CD and two 7-inch vinyl records—with two formats including a live track from The Poison. The song also appears on the Saw III soundtrack. The band wrote the song at Chapel Studios in Cardiff. Matt Tuck said they wrote it late on a Monday night after a few glasses of wine, coming up with the riff quickly and finishing it in about an hour.
