Sir Speedy, born Juan Antonio Ortiz García on September 10, 1983, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton and urbano singer. He helped reggaeton grow worldwide in the 2000s. His breakout hit was Hagamos el Amor con la Ropa, the title track of his 2001 debut album. In 2005, the remix of Siéntelo, with Lumidee, became an international hit and was praised by Billboard as the first international reggaeton hit. His 2005 album Nueva Generación was praised by PopMatters as a strong example of smart, catchy pop music.

In the 2020s, Speedy gained renewed popularity in Mexico by mixing Puerto Rican reggaeton with modern Mexican urbano sounds. In May 2025, he released Como Mi Nena 2025, a new take on his early hit, featuring Dani Flow, El Malilla, and El Bogueto. In July 2025, he released Malicia, the second single from his upcoming album Temporada Naranja, described as a tribute to Mexican culture and reggaeton roots. He also appears on Wisin’s Quiere Perreo from the album El Sobreviviente 3, offering a contemporary version of Amor con la Ropa. Temporada Naranja is expected to be released on September 15, 2025.
