Arthur John (rugby union)

David Arthur John (11 May 1900 – 16 August 1929) was a Welsh rugby union player who played as an inside-half. He was born in Gowerton, Wales, and attended Gowerton Council School. John played for Llanelly RFC for five seasons, forming a strong halfback pairing with Dai John (no relation). He also played some rugby for Bedford while working in England. For Wales, he earned four international caps between 1925 and 1928. He died in a London hospital in 1929 at the age of 29 after a long illness.
