South West Land Division
South West Land Division is one of five land divisions in Western Australia, used for land titles. It covers the southwestern part of the state and includes the cities of Perth, Albany, Bunbury, Busselton, Geraldton, and Mandurah. It also includes the regions of South West, Great Southern, Peel, most of the Wheatbelt, and the coastal areas of the Mid West. About 2.2 million people live in the division, with around 1.8 million in Perth and about 400,000 in nearby regional towns and rural areas. Roughly 200,000 people live in the remainder of the state, mainly in Broome, Esperance, Kalgoorlie–Boulder, Karratha, and Port Hedland. Overall, about 92% of Western Australia’s population lives in this division.
