Victims of the Age
Victims of the Age is a studio album by Mark Heard, released in 1982 on Home Sweet Home Records. It blends folk and rock and was recorded at Poiema Studios in Camarillo, California, and The Gold Mine in Los Angeles. The album was produced by Mark Heard and sits between Stop the Dominoes (1981) and Eye of the Storm (1983) in his discography.
The album is recognized for its influence in Christian music, ranking No. 32 in CCM Presents: The 100 Greatest Albums in Christian Music (Harvest House Publishers, 2001). The song Heart of Hearts became a hit on Christian radio when Leslie Phillips covered it. All songs on the album were written by Mark Heard. The liner notes include thanks to many friends and supporters.
