South Malabar Gramin Bank

South Malabar Gramin Bank was a Regional Rural Bank in India, headquartered in Malappuram, Kerala. It operated in eight districts of Kerala through 506 branches, financing farm and non-farm sectors and supporting employment generation programs. On 8 July 2013, it merged with North Malabar Gramin Bank to form Kerala Gramin Bank, with its head office at Malappuram. The merged bank is sponsored by Canara Bank, after consultation with NABARD, the sponsor banks, and the Government of Kerala.
