U.S. Route 2 runs through the northern part of Beaver Creek, providing a quick route to Havre, 5 miles to the east (the county seat), and to Shelby, 97 miles to the west.
The community covers about 4.6 square miles, all land, and sits at an elevation of about 2,576 feet. The area code is 406.
Population has grown modestly over the years: 291 people in 2000, 271 in 2010, and 311 in 2020, with a density of roughly 68 people per square mile in 2020.
