South Granville, New South Wales
South Granville is a western Sydney suburb in New South Wales, Australia. It lies about 23 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the Cumberland City Council area. South Granville is an extension of Granville, and both suburbs share the postcode 2142 with Camellia, Holroyd, and Rosehill.
In the 2021 census, South Granville had a population of 5,829. The area is about 20 metres above sea level. Nearby suburbs include Merrylands, Granville, Clyde, Guildford, Auburn, Chester Hill, Sefton, and Regents Park.
Granville, the nearby name origin, was named in 1880 after Granville Leveson-Gower, 2nd Earl Granville.
There are several schools in the area: Granville East Public School, Blaxcell Street Public School, Holy Family Primary School, Granville South Creative and Performing Arts High School, and Granville South Public School.
