Monster Rancher Advance
Monster Rancher Advance, known in Japan as Monster Farm Advance, is the first Monster Rancher game for the Game Boy Advance. It was developed and published by Tecmo. It released in North America on November 29, 2001, and in Japan on December 7, 2001.
In this life-simulation game, players create, raise, and battle monsters. Because of the Game Boy Advance’s limitations, monsters are created by typing special codes instead of inserting disks. You can also create new monsters by combining two existing ones, just like in the PlayStation versions.
Compared with earlier titles, Dino has been replaced by Zumms, and some species such as Monols are missing.
The game offers both single-player and multiplayer modes. It received generally favorable reviews, with Metacritic noting positive reception, and Famitsu giving it 30 out of 40 in Japan.
