Inniu
Inniu (Today) was an Irish-language newspaper published in Dublin from 17 March 1943 until 24 August 1984. It began as a monthly paper and became a weekly in April 1945. The offices were on Merrion Square, Dublin 2, later in O'Connell Street. It was founded by Ciarán Ó Nualláin and Proinsias Mac an Bheatha, who were unhappy with Conradh na Gaeilge and formed Glúin na Bua. Ó Nualláin edited the paper from its start until 1979, after which Tarlach Ó hUid took over (1979–1984). In August 1984, due to a loss of Irish Government financial support, Inniu ceased publication and merged with the Galway publication Amárach to form the weekly Anois, which began in September 1984.
