Timeline of strikes in 1946

In 1946, many labour strikes and industrial actions occurred. A labour strike is when workers stop working as a group. Some strikes are wildcat, meaning they’re not officially approved by unions, while others are slowdown strikes, where workers work slowly but stay on the job. Strikes usually happen because of problems like low pay or bad working conditions. They can also show solidarity with other workers or pressure governments to change policies.
