Software and Systems Modeling (SoSyM) is a peer‑reviewed journal about software and systems modeling languages and techniques. It covers modeling foundations, semantics, analysis and synthesis methods, model transformations, and issues in language definition and engineering.

History and publication: SoSyM was established in 2002 and is published by Springer. It publishes six issues per year and offers hybrid open access.

Editors and governance: Editors-in-chief are Benoit Combemale, Jeff Gray, and Bernhard Rumpe. They are supported by associate editors Marsha Chechik, Martin Gogolla, and Jean-Marc Jezequel, and assistant editors Stéphanie Challita, Huseyin Ergin, and Martin Schindler. The editorial board is listed at sosym.org. Robert France was a co‑founder and editor-in-chief from 1999 to 2015.

Impact and indexing: The journal had a 2022 impact factor of 2.0. It is indexed in major databases such as the ACM Digital Library, DBLP, EBSCO, INSPEC, ProQuest, and SCOPUS.
