The Pioneer Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue at the Hayward Hills Campus of California State University, East Bay in Hayward, California. It is managed by the Sequoia Management Group. The amphitheatre hosts outdoor concerts, university events, and graduation ceremonies for local high schools. It can also be used as an assembly area for the university in emergencies.

Before 2004, it mainly hosted university music concerts and was home to Al Fresco, a welcome-back festival each October. It also hosted an occasional concert series run by the Associated Students board. In 2004, Sequoia Management Group took over to book bigger acts and generate revenue for the university. Since then, it has hosted the KBLX Stone Soul Picnic, a day-long festival of urban adult contemporary, soul, and R&B music. The first picnic at the amphitheatre was in May 2004 and featured The Isley Brothers, Teena Marie, Cameo, and Rick James. Subsequent picnics have included Isaac Hayes.
