Sivanath Shastri

Sivanath Shastri, also spelled Sibanath Sastri, was a Bengali social reformer, writer, translator, scholar, editor, philosopher and historian. Born on 31 January 1848 in Subhashgram near Calcutta, he studied at the Sanskrit Collegiate School and was associated with the Brahmo Samaj. He died on 30 September 1919 in Calcutta.
