Founded on September 8, 1992 by Du Weimin, it employs about 2,043 people and develops, manufactures, and sells vaccines and related products. BioKangtai produces the Minhai COVID-19 vaccine and holds the exclusive right to manufacture the Oxford–AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in mainland China.
