Nizamabad is a town and nagar panchayat in Azamgarh district, Uttar Pradesh, India. It sits at about 26.05°N 83.06°E, at an elevation of 72 meters.

In 2001, its population was 12,096, with 52% males and 48% females. The literacy rate was 60% (males 68%, females 51%), and about 20% of residents were under six years old.

Nizamabad is famous for its black clay pottery, a unique dark, shiny clay craft with engraved silver patterns. This pottery received a Geographical Indication tag in December 2015. The town lies on the Ballia–Shahganj broad gauge railway and is home to a prominent Gurudwara, Guru Nanak Charan Paduka, associated with Guru Nanak’s visit.
