Minuscule 305
Minuscule 305 is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament, written on cotton paper and dated to the 13th century. It contains all four Gospels on 261 leaves measuring 31.4 by 23 cm, with one lacuna in John 21:6-25. The text is set in one column per page with 51–54 lines per page. It is divided according to chapters (κεφαλαια) with numbers in the margins and titles (τιτλοι) at the tops, and it also has Ammonian Sections (added later). Tables of contents precede each Gospel. Lectionary markings and incipits were added by a later hand. The biblical text is surrounded by a catena (commentary) attributed to Euthymius Zigabenus. John 21:6-25 was supplied later. The Greek text represents the Byzantine text-type and Aland placed it in Category V. It has not been examined by the Claremont Profile Method. The manuscript once belonged to Cardinal Mazarin, and was later studied by Wettstein, Scholz, and Martin; Gregory saw it in 1885. It is currently housed at the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris (Gr. 195).
