John Haime (18 February 1708 – 18 August 1784) was an English Wesleyan Methodist preacher. He was born in Shaftesbury, Dorset, and started as a button maker and gardener before joining the British Army. Inspired by Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners, he became known as the "Soldier preacher." He fought in the War of the Austrian Succession, at Dettingen in 1743 and Fontenoy in 1745. After the war, he returned home and began preaching. He was briefly imprisoned in Dorchester for his preaching, then became a travelling preacher appointed by John Wesley in 1747. He died in Whitchurch, Hampshire, and was buried at the Whitchurch Methodist church.
