Sheila Burrell (born January 15, 1972, in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is an American track and field coach and former heptathlete. She is the head coach of the San Diego State Aztecs women’s cross country and women’s track and field teams at San Diego State University.

Burrell competed for the United States at the Olympics in 2000 and 2004, with her best finish coming in fourth place. She won a bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships and two silver medals at the 1999 Pan American Games (one in the heptathlon and one in the 4x100-meter relay).

Her personal best in the heptathlon is 6,472 points, and she was the American national champion four times. On the professional circuit, she won the 2002 Hypo-Meeting, after finishing fourth in 1999 and 2000, and sixth in 2004. She also won the Décastar in France in 2001.

Burrell studied English and American studies at UCLA, where she was coached by Bob Kersee and later by Jane Frederick. After college, she was coached by Cliff Rovelto. She is not related to Leroy Burrell or Dawn Burrell.
