B-Sides and Confessions, Volume One
B-Sides and Confessions, Volume One is a compilation album by American singer-songwriter Jeff Black, released in 2003. It features Americana and folk music and was released on Razor & Tie, produced by Jeff Black. The album sits between Honey and Salt (2003) and Tin Lily (2005) in Black’s discography. All songs were written by Jeff Black.
Critical reception: Allmusic reviewer Ronnie D. Lankford, Jr. said the songs are brought to fullness by simple arrangements and straightforward production. He noted that most songs are fairly slow, causing the last two-thirds of the album to blend together, but he also said the album succeeds as a singer-songwriter effort that avoids clichés.
