Shaun Connor
Shaun Connor (born 20 November 1975) is a former Welsh rugby union player who played as a fly-half. He was born in Panteg, Torfaen, and went to Abertillery Comprehensive School. Connor played for Abertillery RFC, Ebbw Vale RFC, Newport RFC, Neath RFC, and most notably the Ospreys, where he made 101 appearances and scored 488 points from 2003 to 2008. He then joined the Newport Gwent Dragons for the 2008-09 season, making 28 appearances and scoring 130 points, before being released after the 2009-10 season.
Connor was part of the Ospreys team that defeated Australia at the Liberty Stadium, earning him Man of the Match. He represented Wales at U21 and Wales A levels and was on Gareth Jenkins’ standby list for the 2006 Rugby World Cup, though he never earned a full Wales cap.
After retiring, Connor moved into coaching. He has coached the Ospreys Under-20s, worked as backs coach for the Dragons, and served as backs coach for the Welsh national team.
