Corignac

Corignac is a small commune in southwestern France, in the Charente-Maritime department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It covers about 111.6 square kilometers. In 2023 its population was 326, giving a density of roughly 28 people per square kilometer. The terrain ranges from 43 to 98 meters above sea level, with an average around 63 meters. Corignac is part of the Jonzac arrondissement, the canton of Les Trois Monts, and the Haute-Saintonge intercommunalité. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Karine Lhermite. The postal codes are 17118 and 17130.
