Shacklewell Arms
Shacklewell Arms is a pub and small music venue on Shacklewell Lane in Dalston, London. It was built in the 1870s and was first known as The Green Man. From the late 1980s to the early 2010s it operated as a Saint Lucian pub, keeping some of that décor.
In 2011, Tom Baker, a local gig promoter, and Dan Crouch bought the place and turned it into a popular venue for live music, especially for smaller bands. The pub has a large back garden and courtyard, which is unusual for the area. It also sponsors tent stages at London festivals Field Day and Wide Awake.
Notable moments at Shacklewell Arms include Beabadoobee performing a pre-recorded song for Jimmy Kimmel Live! in November 2020, recorded at the venue, and a scene from the Black Mirror episode “Eulogy” being filmed in the gig room.
