Rob Kelly III (born June 21, 1974) is a former American football safety who played in the NFL. He was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and went to Newark Catholic High School before playing college football at Ohio State. Drafted in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft (33rd overall) by the New Orleans Saints, Kelly played for the Saints from 1997 to 2000 and later spent time with the New England Patriots in 2002, spending part of that year on injured reserve. His NFL career includes 101 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 1 touchdown. He retired in 2002 at age 28 after suffering a nerve injury between his neck and shoulder during training camp.
