Scopula ferruginea
Scopula ferruginea is a moth in the Geometridae family. It was described by George Hampson in 1893 and is found only in Sri Lanka. The wingspan is about 26 millimetres (1 inch). The moth is white with rusty-brown tones on the body and a few black scales on the wings. Forewings are rusty with brighter areas near the middle and base and have several dark lines and a small black spot; hindwings have similar patterns with dark markings and wavy lines. It was previously known as Acidalia ferruginea.
