Sason colemani
Sason colemani is a species of trapdoor spider in the Barychelidae family. It has only been found in a natural swamp inside the Botanical Gardens in Cairns, Queensland. The spider builds a short, tube‑like retreat with a door at each end on tree bark; when one door opens, the other closes to protect it. Similar retreats are built by Paracenobiopelma gerecormophilum and some Cyphonisia species. Taxonomy: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Arthropoda; Subphylum Chelicerata; Class Arachnida; Order Araneae; Infraorder Mygalomorphae; Family Barychelidae; Genus Sason; Species S. colemani. Binomial name Sason colemani Raven, 1986.
