Sarah Strohmeyer
Sarah Strohmeyer (born December 17, 1962) is an American writer known for funny and suspenseful books about relationships and crime. She’s best known for the Bubbles Yablonsky series, about a Pennsylvania hairdresser who solves crimes. She has written eighteen novels in total.
Strohmeyer grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and went to Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, where she earned a degree in international relations. After college, she worked as a journalist for Home News Tribune in New Brunswick, New Jersey; The Plain Dealer in Cleveland; and Valley News.
In 1997 she published Barbie Unbound, inspired by concerns from some mothers about the Barbie doll.
Her novel The Cinderella Pact was turned into a Lifetime movie called Lying to Be Perfect in 2010.
She has two grown children and lives in Middlesex, Vermont, with her husband. She also serves as the town clerk.
