Voting and rules
- San Marino does not run a televote because of using Italy’s phone network and a small electorate; voting is based on the jury.
- From 2009 to 2015, jury and public votes were presented as one combined result.
- Since 2016, voting has involved separate jury and televoting; SMRTV raised concerns about the system.
- In 2022, San Marino’s jury voting had irregularities and substitute aggregated jury scores were used for the semi-finals and final.
- In 2023, full televoting was generally restored, with backup rules if needed.
Broadcast and commentary
- Local commentators provide language-specific coverage; in 2014 SMRTV offered an English streaming commentary, with John Kennedy O’Connor and Jamarie Milkovic; O’Connor continued for 2015–2016.
