San Giovanni Battista di Calamosco
San Giovanni Battista di Calamosco is a Roman Catholic parish church in Bologna, Italy. It is located at via Chiesa Calamosco 2 in the San Donato district.
The parish is mentioned from 1088, and a church has existed there since 1269. The current building was constructed in 1729–30 from designs by Antonio Gamberini and was refurbished in 1925 by Edoardo Collamarini.
Inside, the church has a Baroque style and seven side altars. The main altarpiece, Birth of St John the Baptist, is attributed to Marcantonio Franceschini. On the right, the second altar shows St Antony of Padua, and the third holds a Madonna della Scodella, a copy of a Correggio painting. On the left, the first altar has a stucco crucifix, and the second left altar features St Vincent Ferrer by Ubaldo Gandolfi. The baptistry contains a modern sculpture by Cesarino Vincenzi.
