Cory Corporation
Harvey Cory patented a glass filter rod design (patent No. 114097), granted in 1939. In 1951, Cory Corporation of Chicago bought Autopoint from Union Carbide and ran Autopoint as a division, appointing its president. In 1967, Hershey Chocolate Corporation bought Cory. Hershey later sold the Autopoint division to ARA Services (Aramark), making Aramark the leading office coffee provider in the United States. By 2017, Aramark served over a billion cups of coffee a year.
