Saône-et-Loire's 2nd constituency
Saône-et-Loire’s 2nd constituency is a French legislative district in the Saône-et-Loire department, located in the southwest part of the department. It includes towns such as Marcigny, noted for the Émile Henry ceramic factory. The constituency does not have a large city, but it has a history of shifting between left and right.
Historic representation
- The seat has swung between parties over the years. Notable deputies include Pierre Dufour (CNIP, 1958) and Paul Duraffour (PRRRS), then Jean-Marc Nesme (UDF/UMP) who held the seat in several terms. Jacques Rebillard (PRG) and Edith Gueugneau (DVG) also represented the area. Since 2017, Josiane Corneloup of The Republicans (LR) has held the seat, continuing her win in 2022 and 2024.

- 2017: Josiane Corneloup (LR) defeated La République En Marche! candidate Vincent Chauvet in the second round to win the seat.
- 2022: Corneloup (LR) won again in the second round, defeating Céline Vinauger (PCF/NUPÉS).
- 2024: Corneloup (LR) retained the seat, beating Olivier Damien (RN) in the second round.
Voter base and turnout
- The constituency has about 81,000 registered voters. Turnout has varied significantly by election year, with around 70% turnout in the 2024 second round.
