Salome is a small, rural community in La Paz County, Arizona. It’s an unincorporated census-designated place with about 1,162 residents (2020). The town was founded in 1904 by Dick Wick Hall, Ernest Hall, and Charles Pratt and named after Pratt’s wife, Grace Salome Pratt.

Salome covers about 33.3 square miles of land and sits at about 1,847 feet above sea level. It lies along U.S. Route 60, roughly 54 miles east of Wickenburg and 25 miles west of I-10 between Brenda and Quartzsite. The ZIP code is 85348, and the area code is 928. The community uses Mountain Standard Time year-round (no daylight saving).

Southwest of Salome is Harcuvar, which has an RV park. Salome is served by the Salome Elementary School District and the Bicentennial Union High School District, and the Salome Water Company provides water.
