Families First
Families First is a nonprofit health and family center in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire and southern Maine, based in Portsmouth. Also called Families First Health & Support Center, it provides services regardless of ability to pay. Programs include primary, prenatal, behavioral and dental care; parenting classes, playgroups and home visiting; and mobile health and dental services. It began in 1984 as the Portsmouth Prenatal Clinic and later added more services. In 2016, about 6,500 people were served.
