Rhododendron crinigerum
Rhododendron crinigerum is a rhododendron native to the mountains of China, specifically northwestern Sichuan, southeastern Xizang (Tibet), and northwestern Yunnan. It grows at high elevations from about 2,200 to 4,200 meters. This shrub reaches 1–6 meters tall and has leathery leaves that are oval to lance-shaped, about 9–20 cm long and 1.5–3 cm wide. The flowers are white to pink with purple specks and a dark blotch at the base. Scientific name: Rhododendron crinigerum Franch.
