Sadie Houck, born Sargent Perry Houck on February 29, 1856, in Washington, D.C., was a professional baseball shortstop who played in Major League Baseball from 1879 to 1887. Over eight seasons, he played for the Boston Red Caps, Providence Grays, Detroit Wolverines, Philadelphia Athletics, Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals, and New York Metropolitans.

Houck was known as a solid defensive shortstop. He led his league in several fielding categories during the early 1880s, including assists, putouts, double plays, and fielding percentage. He finished with a career batting average of .250 and had 35 extra-base hits as a rookie in 1879.

In September 1881, Houck was briefly blacklisted by the National League for alleged drinking but was reinstated in 1883. He debuted on May 1, 1879, with the Boston Red Caps and made his last major league appearance in 1887 with the New York Metropolitans, later spending 1888 in the minor leagues.

Houck died on May 26, 1919, in Washington, D.C., at age 63 and was buried at Glenwood Cemetery.
