Elite Forces: Unit 77 is an action game for the Nintendo DS and DSiWare. It was made by Spanish studios Abylight and Gammick Entertainment and published by Deep Silver. The game released in Europe on March 6, 2009 and in North America on May 7, 2009, with the DSiWare version arriving on December 15, 2011. It features both single-player and multiplayer modes.

Story and play style
A squad of soldiers is sent to an island to rescue hostages. Players complete missions, fight enemies, and guide different soldiers who have unique weapons and jobs. The game uses the stylus on the bottom screen for controls. You designate a leader and give touch orders to move and manage the rest of the team.

Multiplayer and reception
The original DS version did not have multiplayer, but the DSi version added it. Critics gave mixed reviews. Some praised the game’s visuals, while many found the overall design weak and the controls unresponsive. The DSiWare version also faced control criticisms, but reviewers liked that it included a multiplayer option.
