Oko language
Oko, also known as Ogori-Magongo and Oko-Eni-Osayin, is a group of related dialects spoken in Nigeria. It is part of the Niger–Congo language family, within the Volta–Niger branch, and is linked to the Nupe–Oko–Idoma group. Oko is spoken around the towns of Ogori and Magongo in southwestern Kogi State, near the border with Edo State. There were about 40,000 speakers in 2006. The dialects include Oko, Eni, and Osayen. The ISO code is oks and Glottolog lists it as okoe1238. Some linguistic studies place Oko in the Idomoid group.
