Sabrina (Greek singer)
Sabrina, born Alexandra-Sabrina Tserkanou on 29 September 1969 in Bulawayo, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), is a Greek pop singer. She grew up with Greek parents and learned piano and singing from a young age. She released her debut album Stin Aggalia Mou Ela in 1992 and later published Eleftheri and Ego tha Ime Ego, where she began to compose her own songs. She then released Geitonies tou Feggariou, Epikindino Paihnidi, and Ipopsies. In 1994 she co-wrote Ftes with Costas Charitodiplomenos; the song won the OGAE Song Contest, giving Greece its first trophy. She put out Boom Boom in 2000 and Breakfast Time in 2002. In 2003 she competed in the Greek Eurovision national final with the song Camera and finished third in the public vote. A re-release of Breakfast Time included the single Camera, and she released Agori Mou. In 2004 she released Se Vlepo, a more dance-pop record. In 2006 she moved to a traditional Greek sound with I Agapi Pote Den Pethainei, and in 2007 she released Yperparagogi. Sabrina has performed widely on Greek TV and in nightclubs. She was married to Panagiotis Liadelis from 2004 to 2008, and they have one son.
