The Sa’ad and Sa’eed Mosque is in Jerusalem on Nablus Road, about 400 metres from the Damascus Gate. It sits on Waqf land that covers 117 square metres.

The mosque is named after two local merchants known for helping preserve the Waqf in the city. It was built in its current form in 1905 on the Waqf property of Shams al-Din al-Bulqini.

In 1956, the mosque was demolished by Israeli armed forces. Since 2011, there have been reported Israeli attempts to occupy the area. The custodian of the endowment went to court to argue that the Waqf has a history of about 400 years and is registered in the Ottoman land registry.

On July 19, 2022, an unauthorized person forcibly entered the mosque. Palestinians said the man was an Israeli settler.

Muslims come to pray at the mosque every day, except on Fridays.
