Kaklık Cave is a popular tourist cave in Kaklık town, Denizli Province, Turkey, about 30 kilometers from Denizli. To visit, take the highway east and then turn north in Kaklık. The cave opened to visitors in 2002. Inside and around it you’ll find a small amphitheatre, a swimming pool, and a cafeteria. The cave is full of dripstones, including stalactites and stalagmites, as well as travertine formations and a small thermal lake at the bottom. It was formed by a rift and a ponor (a sinkhole). It is often called the “small Pamukkale” because Pamukkale is a famous nearby site. The governor notes that the lake water has unique hydrochemical properties.
