Murder Squad Nationwide
Murder Squad Nationwide is a 1995 West Coast hip hop/g-funk album by South Central Cartel and friends. It was released on February 14, 1995, by G.W.K. Records and distributed by Def Jam. The album runs 55 minutes and 56 seconds. It was produced by Havoc Tha Mouthpiece (executive), Prodeje, Ant Banks, DJ Gripp, G$ Money, Riddler, and Tootie. It peaked at #12 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, #1 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart, and #106 on the Billboard 200. Guests include Spice 1, Ant Banks, Ice-T, Treach, 187 Fac, Mr. Wesside, Hot Dolla, and Big Mike.
The track "Knock on Wood" has two versions: the album version (featuring Sh'Killa, Gripsta, and South Central Cartel) and an alternate clean single/video version (released to promote the album) with the same verses and a chorus sung by L.V. The video version replaces the South Central Cartel verses with those by The Evil Side G's, B.G. Knocc Out & Dresta, and Jayo Felony. A remixed version of the song does not appear on the album.
In South Central Cartel's discography, Murder Squad Nationwide comes after N Gatz We Truss (1994) and before All Day Everyday (1997).
