Rudi Tas
Rudi Tas (born 1957 in Aalst, Belgium) is a Flemish composer, conductor and organist. He studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and in Ghent. His music is performed by many ensembles and soloists around the world, including Jan Michiels, Luk Vaes, Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, VRT-Kamerkoor and Westminster Choir, among others.
Style
Tas combines modern and traditional techniques, using tonal, neo-romantic and neo-impressionist elements. He emphasizes a cantabile, singable line and aims for a balance between emotion and structure.
